So if you beleive everything you read in the papers Chelsea failed in the bid to sign Brazillian star Kaka - if you ask me, thank god for that - I realise he’s good but £58 million was it? come on….that’s far too much for one player, surely?
Real Madrid are going to need more than one player to win the league and challenge for the Champions League again. To be honest I hope Ronaldo joins him from United.
I’m sure you’ve seen the reports are now rife again about Real pursuing Ronadlo from Manchester United YET again! Lets pray he’s off out of the Premier League for next season.
So far, and I suppose we’re only just into the close of the season, Chelsea haven’t made a move for players as yet. At least Carlo Ancelotti has agreed terms and we can look forward to next season with a good manager back in place.
Poor old AC Milan, what a week!

Is Le Saux feeling OK?! Chelsea’s title bid still intact?
Graeme Le Saux has said he thinks Chelsea’s title bid is till intact despite loosing to Tottenham at the weekend and now having lost out on that precious game in hand we had over Manchester United…Is he talking sense?
Le Saux said; “I feel there’s still enough games for us to have opportunities, but the momentum is with Liverpool. I talked about it being a one-horse race, I’ve been made to eat my words.”
“I don’t think anybody would have foreseen what Manchester United were going to do in the last three or four weeks.”
“It has really made it very uncertain, but from Chelsea’s point of view it’s a disappointing result given the timing, it would have been an fantastic opportunity to have really got right back behind Manchester United and keep up with Liverpool. But I feel there’s enough games for us to have opportunities.
“It’s been an absolutely fascinating Premier League this year at all different stages of the table there’s been some fascinating battles.
“I just hope that we can perform well as we have done under Guus Hiddink, shake off the disappointing result against Tottenham and remain focused on being ready for a slip-up from either Manchester United or Liverpool above us.”

Are Chelsea out of the title race?
Guus Hiddink suggested that Chelsea are now pretty much out of the race for the Premiership title after the 1 - 0 defeat at White Hart Lane against Tottenham.
We’ve played a game more now and we’re still 4 points behind United, I think Liverpool (unfortunately) now have the best chance of catching United but then again you never know what can happen in football.
We still have the Champions league game against Liverpool and with the second leg at Stamford Bridge I really fancy our chances of making it all the way to the final in Rome. We were so close last season…
Talking after the tottenham game Hiddink said:
“These are the days you look back on and regret very much when you are in a title race.”
“We won’t give up on the title, but today was an ideal opportunity to close the gap on Manchester United and we missed it.
“We cannot afford to drop two or three points in any game if we want to catch United, and today we lost, it’s a huge blow. Let’s be honest; if you don’t win at moments like today you have to blame yourselves.”
“I can’t argue with the result - it was a fair reflection.
“We paid the price for some very sloppy defending at the start of the second half, when we were asleep for 10 minutes and let them in.”
“We have two other roads to trophies and we must learn a big lesson from today if we want to challenge for those.”

Lampard thinks everyone wants to avoid Chelsea
After another grueling performance in the Champions league last night Frank Lampard thinks that no-one will want to face Chelsea in the quarter finals.
“Maybe no-one will want to face us the way we are playing,” the England midfielder said.
“When you get to this stage your away performances are important and it is a good sign we scored two against Juventus.
“Away games may not always be the most beautiful of performances and you have to be very strong at certain points of the game. You have to be very clever and we weren’t like that in the group games.
“Now is the crunch time and we did very well. We have had quality and spirit in the squad for the past five years but at times this season we didn’t have and it showed.
“But against Juventus and the previous five games we have shown we are together and, when we have the spirit combined with our quality, we can do whatever we want.”

Hiddink on Essien
With Essien set to make a comeback against Juventus for the second leg champions league match tomorrow night Hiddink reveals why he’s so happy with this news;
“I think it’s very important from now until the end of the season to have a big squad in terms of numbers and quality.”
“Essien has come back so we have more depth in quality in the squad. He can make his contribution like he did in the past. He was out for many, many months, so it’s not easy for him to get the rhythm of the game from the first minute he plays.
“But he’s very strong, a very positive guy and he can have a huge impact for the rest of the season.
“He will be in the 18, so he’s ready to start. Let’s see what will happen. We can either start with him or bring him on later, as we did at Coventry, but he’s OK and in the squad for the match.”
With regards to Anelka and Deco Hiddink had this to say;
“Anelka has started to train again - yesterday, a bit the day before - and we’ll see what his reaction is. We have a few hours to make a decision.
“Deco started back a few days ago. He’s a little more problematic. He’s fit, but his injury was a muscle - a hamstring - not a rupture but you must be careful. We’ll look at him after training to see whether he’s in the 18.”
Whatever the result tomorrow night at the Stadio Olimpico Hiddink says we’ll be putting an attacking game together from the start. Good to hear some positive attacking football will be the main tatic from the start; I believe strongly in winning games by scoring GOALS.

Chelsea may look for another striker
Ray Wilkins has admitted that Chelsea may be looking for another striker in the January transfer window but he insists it’s purely as cover for injured players. Of course the media is interpretting this as Drogba’s exit; also in January, but we’ll see…So can Drogba and Anelka play together? that is the question and if not who should go?
Wilkins said: “We have got the injury situation, haven’t we?
“If you lose both in the same game, you always need cover with injuries. You have to have a top end of your side with goalscoring ability.”
Of course Drogba is still being linked with a move to Inter-Milan…So place your bets here >> online bingo, online casino, online gambling, chelsea bets and football bets get them all here!

Missed chance to go top of Premier League
We missed the chance to beat Liverpool to the top of the league this weekend with a draw against West Ham at Stamford Bridge…
It turned out to be the perfect opportunity in a weekend when United, Liverpool and Arsenal all failed to win their games and failed to take all 3 points.

Last night was not a good result but what it even worse was the reaction of the team and then the final result - letting 3 goals in is not good especially in the Champions League.
Scolari said; “When you give away three goals you do worry, You need to think why was this and what we can do in our next game.”
“We gave too many opportunities to Roma. We made too many mistakes, made wrong passes and had bad positions.”

OK we all know Liverpool ended our 86 game, Premier League unbeaten run at Stamford Bridge, a record which stems back to 2004. I’m just recording this factual information - that’s it - not going to mention it again…
The fact is we didn’t play our passing football on the floor and we allowed Liverpool into the game - allbeit through a lucky deflected goal.
